 For Those Special Moments...

A card for many different occasions.

I've got to say it, but I really do love this card. Here is a write up about it from the creator Steph Ackerman.

"Good morning, Steph here.

I wanted to create a card that could be used for different occasions.  This "Special Moments" stamp was perfect, so I paired it with some busy pattern paper.  Using the Wink of Stella Brush, I added some glitter to the flags and the flourishes at the top of the paper.  I know it's hard to see, but it does add a little extra bling!

I inked the stamp with the round tip of a Black ZIG Writer and stamped it on the red pattern paper, inking the edges with the same tip.  I placed the sentiment on the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

I hope you like this card as much as I do.

Woodcraft...

Spanish Design Team Member Cecilia Sanchez has created this lovely project for us and another one which will be on the Blog tomorrow at 17:00.

Step-by-step guide by Cecilia:
  1. First, I draw a car in the DM panel and cut it with my electric saw.
  2. I paint with different colors of ZIG Woodcraft Markers.
  3. Even, the paint can be extended with my fingers, I love it!!!
  4. All painted
  5. To make the hanger, I used 3 wooden knobs which I sanded.
  6. And I painted them in red using the ZIG Woodcraft Marker.
  7. Add some holes with the drill and screw the knobs into place.
  8. And the final result.

Thank you Cecilia - we love it :)

 GRADUATION

Hello you lovely lot.
I have two cards for you from Steph Ackerman but the second will be shown tomorrow around 18:00.

Here is what Steph says:

Good morning, Steph here today with a graduation card. This is a time to celebrate as our children start spreading their wings.   It's time to let them fly so I've used a dragonfly stamp which I've colored with ZIG Brushable Markers.

The card size is approximately 3 1/2" x 5".
I used ZIG Brushables in the following colors:
Apricot
Platinum
Powder Blue
Root Bear Float
Spring Green

The ZIG Brushables allow you to blend the colors.   Using both ends of each marker, I blended the colors together on the wings.

For dimension, I cut out one of the dragonflies and added it on top of another.  The Coffee ZIG Journaling pen was used around the edges of the sentiment and the dragonfly before matting with brown cardstock.

Thanks for taking a look, we hope you liked what you saw.

We'll be back with two posts tomorrow. one at 12:00 and one at 18:00 - enjoy.

The possibilities are endless with our pens...

Jaine Drake sent me these lovely images created using some of our products. I thought I should share it on this blog as it is a rather special idea...

Jaine says: "I had a go at painting some rocks. I used my black ZIG Woodcraft pen as the base then the ZIG White Writer pen to doodle on top.

In the last picture with the ladybird I painted the whole stone with the ZIG White Painty Pen and drew the ladybird with ZIG Art and Graphic Twin Pens.

If you want to protect the artwork they can be given a coat of varnish.  Maybe paint inspirational words on small stones and put them in a glass jar. They also make great paperweights."

 Thank you Jaine

Throw those Hats...

Today's creation is brought to you by the very talented Kirsten Stackhouse, take a look at what she has created for us...

Description by Kirsten:

For an easy, quick decoration for grad parties - I've made these little grad caps. First, I bought a sheet of sticker paper. I then used the ZIG Writers to outline the little grad caps, and used the Kurecolor Fine& Brush to colour in where the shadows would be.

Then I used a ZIG Water Colour Brush (with quite a bit of water) to push around the colour to give them a very watered down look. I then cut them out and proceeded to stick them everywhere. On little fake diplomas, on walls, on the sides of candles - anywhere. They'll add just a little artsy touch to your grad party!
