Tis the season to be jolly...

New Design Team Member Gina Rose has sent me this lovely card for you all to see :) Take a read of what Gina has come up with and if you want, let me know what you think :)

Take a piece of glossy card or photo paper.
Cut a triangle out of a separate piece of card (any type) and use a template to form the Christmas tree shape.

Using 2 different green ZIG Calligraphy pens, combine them in the usual way by touching the tips horizontally together, dark onto the lighter one, on one corner of the broad end.

Squiggle a zig zag shape as shown, using the triangle cut-out as a guide to keep a uniform shape.

Now use a white ZIG Painty marker to form spots onto the tree.  This will form a base for the Christmas lights, so that they will shine in their actual colours.

Take a selection of ZIG Wink of Stella Glitter pens and form slightly smaller dots onto the white spots.  Repeat after they are dry, to bring out the best of their colour.  Leave some white space around the colour; this will make the lights look more shiny! This is why the white ZIG painty marker is perfect for this type of work because it is completely opaque when dry.

Use a ZIG Fine and Chisel marker to draw the base of the tree… no need to be precise; the wobbliness will match the style of the tree!

Take the green ZIG Calligraphy pens once again, and using the fine ends, kiss the two together again in a horizontal way.  Write the words of your greeting and then finish off with some random dots with the amazing Dottariffic red pen.  Add a ZIGzag holly and berry!

Mount and decorate your artwork and the card to your taste.
I have used an A6 card blank, chopping off the right hand side of the front, offsetting the images and decorating with matching mount cardstock, gems and  some red sparkly outline stickers.

…oh, and Have Fun!
