Hello readers, sorry we've been quiet lately. We've been in Japan :) A blog post will follow of our travels over there. What a fascinating place.

Anyway I digress, here is a new post from a new Design Team Member. Her name is Milla Kallio based in Finland and this is her blog http://www.mustesormi.blogspot.fi/ I'd like it if you gave her all a warm welcome please. Milla's work will be shown more from January on wards... :)

Back in September I published a blog post asking for readers opinions on fluorescent colours and Milla replied which led me to have a browse of her blog and hey presto we have a new design team member. Her work is fantastic, this piece is what originally caught my eye:

For now here is a step-by-step tutorial based on a Christmas Card (write up and images produced by Milla).

Here’s what you’ll need to make the card: a card base (10.5 x 14.8 cm), a panel of white cardstock (5 x 14 cm), a panel of golden cardstock (5.4 x 14.4 cm), a star stamp, a sentiment stamp, black ink, doublesided tape and a KuretakeZIG Wink of Stella pen in Gold.

Start by stamping the star stamp randomly on the panel of white cardstock with black ink.

Colour the stars with KuretakeZIG Wink of Stella pen in Gold. I coloured the stars twice to get a really deep lush golden colour.

Attach the panel onto the golden cardstock with some doublesided tape.

Attach the panel onto the card base with some doublesided tape.

Stamp the sentiment on the lower left hand corner with black ink. The sentiment stamp I used says ‘Christmas Peace’ in Finnish.

And here is the finished card! Clean and simple with some lovely glitter, perfect for Christmas.

I absolutely love this card, its festive and sparkly - perfect :)

See you all soon for another fantastic and inspiring post from Kuretake ZIG UK. Bye for now :)
