Hi All, Kim Dellow here and I'm just popping in to share a couple of techniques I used in the 'Olympic Grunge' ATC I made for the current 'Going For Gold' challenge.
This make uses both the ZIG Painty Twin Gold and Silver pen and the ZIG Art and Graphic Twin Watercolour markers.
But my tutorial today is about how to make the distressed metallic look with the ZIG Painty Twin Gold and Silver pen.
You Will Need:
Metal picture hinges and brads
Inkssentials Cut n' Dry foam or a make-up sponge
Embossing folder (Cuttlebug Clockworks)
Sandpaper or nail file
So if you haven't already, prime your ZIG Painty Twin pen by pressing the nib down on spare paper until the ink begins to flow.
Then use the gold end to colour the black paper with gold ink and let it dry before running the paper through your die-cutting or embossing machine in the embossing folder.
Then use the sandpaper to sand the raised areas and the edges.
Keep sanding until you are happy with the effect.
You can also add a little touch of distressed gold to the metal picture hinges and brads by pressing the ZIG Painty Twin pen into the sponge and then quickly dab it onto the metal.
There you have it. Hope you find this little look-see useful.
Have fun creating and don't forget to enter the 'Going For Gold' challenge, you still have a couple of days to get your entry in.
